Welcome to Year 4
4CJ - Centaurs
Mrs Cunliffe & Mr James
4G - Minotaurs
Mr Goss
4CJ have had a busy term: our History topic was Dover Castle and we have found out about how the castle was first built, the Roman lighthouse and how the castle has been used over the centuries. This was finished off by an amazing trip to the castle to explore the underground tunnels and military hospital. We were definitely excited when the lights flickered on and off; maybe less so by the weather, which could have been kinder to us!
World Book Day was great fun with lots of different characters appearing in the class, including some Oompah Loompahs, various Harry Potter characters, witches, wizards and of course some famous author footballers!
In PE we have been learning how to Line Dance and choreographed our own group dances - Yee haw!
On a fine day, Mr James took our Music lesson outside in order to give us the space to create our own musical compositions using a wide range of tuned and untuned instruments. We used our own symbols to notate our compositions We had great fun and made some wonderful sounds.
