Primary Languages- French

At Cheriton Primary school, pupils have long been able to appreciate the value and knowledge of a different culture through the integration of many Nepali students and staff as well as our other diverse range of cultures and languages. Cheriton has French as main language with some German also being taught.
Our school is committed to using a scheme of work with reference to the skills progression required in Key Stage 2. During the 2024-25 academic year, we are starting to use the Language Angels scheme for French to develop and show progression in
learning in Key Stage 2, as well as making it fun. In Key Stage 1 our focus is on simple understanding that there are other languages.
