Marking and Feedback

At Cheriton Primary School we are committed to providing relevant and timely feedback to pupils, both orally and in writing. Marking is an important factor in pupils’ learning and moving children on to their next stages of development.

Teachers mark pieces of work and encourage pupils to respond to comments that are designed to take learning forwards.

Pupil responses are completed in a ‘coloured pen’.

Carefully designed stickers are used for both praise and to reinforce the marking of children’s work.
