Our Daily Routine

8.35 Children arrive to an open door policy where parents are welcome to come in and settle their child into the classroom environment.  Children should be encouraged to organise their own belongings and self-register. Children will then be able to choose from a range of activities set out for them.

8.45 Children will gather together to look at the visual timetable and share any news.

9am Children will receive phonics teaching.

9.25 Children will begin free flow child initiated activity following a plan do and review format.

10.20 Children will receive a healthy snack and milk whilst enjoying a story and sing session.

10.40 Children will receive Literacy teaching and Literacy focused activities.

11.20 Children will be developing their reading skills during this time.

11.45 Lunchtime: children eat supported by familiar adults and enjoy a range of outdoor games.

12.45 Children will be registered and discuss their lunchtime activities.

1pm Children will receive Numeracy teaching and Numeracy focused activities.

1.30 Children will spend time engaging in topic based activities.

1.50 Children will begin free flow child initiated activity following a plan do and review format.

2.50 Children will be engaged in a review of their day and enjoy a story.

3.05 Children will prepare for home time where they will be encouraged to organise their belongings.
