Sports Premium

Sports Pupil Premium 2014 - 15

Extra sports funding through Sports Pupil Premium is spent to promote an enjoyment of sport and healthy living for all our children. It is also be spent to help facilitate involvement in sport of children who suffer economic disadvantage.  

 

The anticipated budget is £13,000 for 2014 – 2015 and it is proposed to spend this  in the following way:

 

  • £1,500 staff training and support – PE leaders released to observed lessons and work with teachers
  • £1,750 – membership of the local sports partnership network which facilitates sports experiences for children across the whole school
  • £500 – CPD for teachers to include an revised PE scheme of work
  • £1,300 -coaching for classes and groups of children in Cricket, Dance & Gym
  • £ 850 -Gym Club for targetted children
  • £550-Gym club for G & T gymnasts    
  • £500 – transport to sporting events, sports day costs and membership of local leagues
  • £600 – parent and child activities promoting sports engagement ie- Dads Football & passes to the local sports centre
  • £800– resources to enable children from economically disadvantaged families to take part in sport in the locality
  • £2000 – Sports engagement week – cost of workshops, specialist coaches and prizes
  • £750- Para Olympic Roadshow and workshops
  • £1,800 -swimming 

Total estimate : £13,000

 

 

The impact of the sports premium will be measured by:

 

  • Greater confidence in planning and delivery of quality activities outside at lunchtimes
  • Observations of children and staff during PE lessons, teachers to use CPD training to run own clubs.
  • Children able to describe and demonstrate skills learnt as part of the Sports Partnership projects
  • Increased after school clubs and participation in PE and sport
  • Parents visibly engaged with children in sporting activities
